The past week has been crazy busy. Have not found much time to blog or read. Will make amends as soon as possible. The good part is that the kids’ FAs are over. The bad part is that the SA starts in about 3 weeks. The younger brat’s birthday was super hectic and fun. Before going to bed at night, he gave me a long hug and said it was the best birthday ever. He also thanked me for his much-cherished Lego gift. It made me tear up a bit as I shooed him away. It is fun celebrating others’ birthdays. Oh and by the way, I really loved our time spent bowling that day. The husband defeated us flat though.
The #BudgetAir menace continues though #Etihad team on twitter is actively helping out. God knows, how much longer this will drag. The first notice has been sent to BudgetAir’s office in the Netherlands.
About little sonny, the guy has binoculars for eyes. He can spot a tiny insect on the ceiling! And, he is fearless. He is a reliable bloke in the sense that you can ask him to do something and expect him to do it (well, most times!). But, he sometimes gives a really tough time because he is headstrong and very defiant in face of authority. I use my Brahmastra of “You have to do it because I tell you so” when he keeps up with his incessant questioning especially when it comes to timeouts and punishments. The elder son is great at talking and reasoning, but takes very long to move his butt. 🙂 Guess, who the skill has come home to bite? Life always does come a full circle.
Okay, I went ahead and did something monumental. I went and straightened my hair. I have been thinking about it for ages and finally went in for it. It took a whopping 4 hours with my hair volume for the process. I was almost in tears by the end of it. I am enjoying the no-bad hairday look. All at home are having fun while I do imitations of shampoo ads for them swinging my hair from side to side. I do miss the volume and life of my curls though. Well, this is just for change. I hope my hair has not been damaged too much in the bargain. I was wincing with all the chemical application.
And, Bangalore has been going nuts with powercuts. Even the Generator backup in our community cannot cope with so many hours. Hence there are a few hours a day when there is no power. It does hit work when that happens. Let’s hope that they do something about this soon.
That’s all for now. The weekend is almost here.
