Smile :)

My 4-year-old son tells me, “my nails are really shark.” 🙂

My elder son asks if Father of the Nation can be changed. I said no because “can you change your parents?” After a bit of thought, he said no (Thank God for that :)).

My elder son calls his brother, “you bugger!”
He turns around and says, “you are also a burger :).”

Sometimes they drive me up the wall, actually most times. But, at other times they are unintentionally funny and bring a smile to our faces.

Very cute. When my son was 6/7 he used to be bugged with my constant shouting at him, although he was not naughty, he used to trouble my daughter who is elder to him a lot, and since i was also new to parenting I must have also made some mistakes, losing my temper with them. So one day when his teacher asked the students in the class to write some about their mother, he wrote, ” I hate my mother”. That was enough I got a call from the teacher and the principal showing grave concern about this matter. As they grew up they found me more of a friend to them, than their mom, they could share anything with me,maybe I had also matured and changed, for they always say now, that,I am the coolest mother. You are right when you say, that at times they can really drive us up the wall, but everything is forgotten once they grow up to become decent individuals and make us feel that, we have not done anything wrong, it is all a learning proccess.

@rama My younger son is almost 5 and is very naughty. He also terrorises his elder brother and his parents as well. Though I try to be patient with him, there are times when I shout at him and spank him too. Till now he has not reached ” I hate you” stage, but I think he will go there too. But, it is crucial for me to discipline him when his behavior gets atrocious. I am sure this rough phase will pass too the same way it did with my elder son who is very open and friendly with me at the age of 9.You are right when you say it is a learning process. I guess both us parents and the kids are maturing, evolving and learning with time. One thing they can always count on me is to give them a patient hearing.@BKChowla For these innocent things, I would not want them to grow up. But for other things, I want them to grow up :).@kavita Thanks. I laughed loudly when I heard it the first time.@Anupama Hey anupama, welcome here. Sure, they are cute a lot of times.
