Ah, the painting work in my house is finally getting over today. And, the house is a riot of colors. I love colors — vibrant, bright and beautiful. They seem to emanate energy, so I’ve got reds, purples, greens, blues, yellows, oranges and browns in light and dark shades all over the house :). This time we went with Asian Paints Royale that gives a lovely sheen to the walls. And, now the big work is in rearranging the stuff. Even though every 3 or 4 months, I give away stuff to my maid and do massive cleaning operation around diwali, my battle with clutter is unending. Some of it is due to my own inability to do a daily job of segregating stuff, as it keeps disappearing into drawers and then piles up. Like I’ve mentioned many times before, housekeeping is not my forte. Some of it is due to growing kids who outgrow clothes and toys. Some of the clutter is due to hubby’s fondness of accumulating gadgets and resistance to discarding old wrapping, old magazines, older gadgets. Anyway, it will take me 3-4 days of work to get things back in order and hopefully the clutter will stay reduced, as I am hoping to take the help of kids to keep things in order and pay my maid a bit more to expedite things :).
