Vacations are always fun. They signify a deviation from the routine, a chance to explore the new and unseen, sight-see and have fun. But, our trips to Mumbai are extra special. Not only does it mean an annual get together with the entire family including my dad, brother and sister’s family, but also meeting with old friends. I have so many friends here but due to our busy routines, we hardly get to catch up otherwise. Also, I love reliving memories of my childhood spent here with my kids showing them where my school was which has now shut down, my college and sharing various other anecdotes with them :). Gurdev and I enjoy our evening walks in PDP as I used to do so many years ago alone. Kids look forward to meeting each other. Sid, Gautam and Aashi play and fight like crazy.
I love coming back to Mumbai for its crazy energy, momentum and complete relaxation. I just put up my feet and let myself be pampered and don’t do a thing :). Ah! what a feeling. And, I am reading a book given to me by dad — Fatima Bhutto’s saga.
