Distressing, those guys are fooling us and we are glued with their plays, unfortunately games are gone to the swindlers:(

@wise donkey Yes, BCCI and ICC should have taken much stricter action even back then. Such people deserve contempt and exemplary punishment. And, I do feel like a fool for following cricket/@Suffix Totally distressing, they have made a mockery of the sentiments of so many people and driven the name of the subcontinent in mud.

The blow was when Cronje, one of the greatest cricketer ever, was implicated for fixing.

I’m sure that nobody in the Indian team has ever fixed a match after the Azharuddin, Jadeja, Cronje scandals. That’s why I still follow the game religiously..! Pakistan’s reputation was already tarnished and they don’t care about pride and such things. All they want is ‘money, food and women’ – quoted by a tv channel!! Pak can go to hell, but why drag cricket along with them!! I only watch matches which has India playing. I dislike IPL which makes players play for money & I never watch those!!I’m also waiting for the investigations to unfold!!

@jon I remember that. It was shattering that a person of his calibre and the captain of an international side would be involved in something so dirty. It was shocking.@Rohini yep, this attitude sets in with such experiences. I am feeling the same way now.@BK Chowla Perfectly said.@Girish I don’t know, I somehow don’t feel the same level as confidence as you do. I feel very few cricketers play for pride, country’s name or a passion for the game, Indians included. Never say never, my friend. Revelations are just another sting operation away.

When the stakes involved gets high things get out of hand from players…and I am quite sure many IPL matches might be fixed. There you won’t suspect too

@Babli Thank you Babli. Both for your warm words and for visiting my blog. I will be visiting your blogs soon. :)@Jon You are completely right. We won’t suspect it, and I already have my doubts about some of the stupendous matches of last season. If there is a place for fixing, it surely is IPL.
