I watched this, very aptly titled,  serial “Emotional Atyachar” on TV. Each episode is basically a sting operation done on a girlfriend/boyfriend/partner as a loyalty test. Except for one episode, all the stings have been done on men at the behest of their partners. And, guess what, all have proven that the men have been disloyal. Their modus operandi is simple. They send their “undercover agents” read hot girls who offer extra attention to these males. All their interactions are recorded, and in a space of 4-5 days, the males are spilling out their life’s secrets to these girls. They deny their relationship status some as long as 10-year-old relationships, engagements, and what not. It is sad to see the partner breaking down, and good that they were not stuck with such heartless creeps for a lifetime.
I was telling my husband whether loyalty has gone out of the window these days. Or, is it because these are suspect characters anyway, for their partners to want to do a loyalty test on them. It is quite hilarious to watch the lies which people spin out on this show.
Overall, it makes me wonder if good old love and fidelity are values getting outdated. What is happening to our generation? Maybe, I am too conventional to believe in these values and lucky enough to have a husband who believes in the same. Touch wood!

    touchwoodmebbe the episodes are fake and are just done up for TRPs. Mebbe ppl want to watch such thingsor mebbe life is like that.I am confused myself:)

    A real gentleman remains faithful to one woman and is courteous to all others.That said, I recently came to realize that some relationships are bad, but are still called a relationship by the partners. It’s just that nobody has decided yet what to do with the bad relationship.So — when something comes on your path, people in a bad relationship might succumb to the bait. And I bet that there is something self-selecting in this show!

    @Bhagya maybe! I am confused too. What is reality, and what is fiction is getting blurred these days with these so-called reality shows.@DivSu I would like to believe that too.@Hobo Yep, things are becoming this way.@Bart Maybe, real gentlemen and good ladies are disappearing these days. Your second point is valid too. Sometimes, one drags on in a bad relationship because of inertia or lack of better options.I don’t know, it all seems so confusing. Is it fictional or for real?

    in a society where women have stepped out…and work long hrs ..some amount of infedilty and attracttion comes in…i read a lot abt this office romance due to spending long hrs in newspapers …Vani

    I caught a couple of episodes as well ! one thing that was striking was how everybody comes in saying they absolutely trust there partners ! what i dont understand is then y did you come to one such show if you trust your partner. well in the end they are all heart broken but that is another issuse !

    🙂 Male bashingYet again!!!!You know. a few days back I read a novel In pursuit of Infidelity by Sujata Parashar. The main protagonist was a girl whose hubby is busy in earning money to make her life comfortable and was a very normal men-next-door sort of fellow. On one fateful day the girl met her college crush and fall in love (again, in-spite of being a mother of a year old son)and they kept their relation going to all the levels. In the mean time her hubby goes overseas (Singapore perhaps!) and got attracted towards a girl but soon realized his mistakes.On his way back to home, his wife fine one dining receipt in his trouser and then worked as a spy to find that he met that lady a few time. After that she planned for a divorce saying he cheated her.But she never said what she did.Now comes my questionWhy???Why only males are said to be a responsible for all these things?why not females? (I can tell you girl falls for guys but they take longer time so 4-5 days may not be sufficient to expose them):) I know ki ye jyada ho gayaBut phir bhi Hadd hoti hai yaar!!!!P.S: waise love net dekha kya channel V pe. Watch that one!! its hilarious

Obviously, they do not trust their partner to have them publicly humiliated. Could it be, that they have a doubt which they want to negate?@Bhupesh No male bashing from my end :). I was just stating what I saw on the TV. Maybe, a woman would take longer to stray as you pointed out.I was just wondering if infidelity and a decline in moral values has become more commonplace today. Maybe the opportunities are greater as well as the societal acceptance.

    Whatever may the reasons or problems–TV is not the forum. The fact that one decides to have a sting operation on his/her partner, is the end of relationship.And in my opinion, this programme must be taken off air.

    It just seems to me that more and more reality shows are available for us to watch. And for some, the lines blur between reality and real life! Nowadays it seems some people want all the attention these shows bring and will do anything to be on one!

    This is all fake… why the people who are caught are not suing the programme for invading their privacy and show it on tv.. Your relationship is gone at the end anyway.. I will not accept it if my partner tries to have a tv channel follow me and show it for others to see… neither my partner will accept if i cheat.. So, this will end in separation anyway… Completely unbelievable…
